(I have had the present tense and dead first person narrator and a host of other POV/tense/storytelling technique arguments with people and UGH. Some people just DO NOT GET "fiction" is not real. :P I shall have to direct them to your post in the future.)

*links back to this*

~MercMerchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14164221022350926808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5081955273890368448.post-40416494427762624872009-05-12T02:28:00.000+10:002009-05-12T02:28:00.000+10:00I get caught up on tense a lot, I think because of...I get caught up on tense a lot, I think because of what you said. It doesn't matter what tense you choose, but some people prefer certain ones. It was written in first person, so I already knew from the first page that the narrator wasn't going to die. It sort of lost some of it's punch, I think.Elana Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05877856005992028912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5081955273890368448.post-14913250646873105082009-05-11T22:41:00.000+10:002009-05-11T22:41:00.000+10:00This is a good post. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, since improving my "voice" is always good. Thanks for discussing this though. Good food for thought.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07823808700523297184noreply@blogger.com
