...too many hours procrastinating from actual Writing Work O:) Loots of blog reading done lately, and I'm proudfully All Caught Up. Woot. So today, for your clicking delight, a selection of the best.
First up, I'm very excited to announce that I'm now an official member of Nayu's Reading Corner, a high profile review blog of mostly YA and fantasy with a smattering of everything thrown in :) I'm the Sunday reviewer, and right here you can read my first review, which is of Holly Black's White Cat (the book that nearly killed me with the squee)!
Here's another reason you should Get Excited! There are a TONNE of awesome books coming out this season (fall or spring, depending O:)). Click link for list :)
Sadly, there isn't as much shiny technology coming out this season as there are books - Will Ferrell looks at why in a fun dissection of the technology we keep getting promised...
Speaking of promises, Janet Reid over at Query Shark offers proof that sometimes, all you need to promise is a good time; if you're funny, entertaining and can write well, you can afford to throw a few rules out the window.
And finally, there's nothing like a good discussion of current trends - in this case, YA dystopias by Beth Revis (as in, Beth Revis discussing YA dystopias. Not YA dystopias written by Beth Revis. That would be a much shorter discussion O:)). Beth makes some great points, such as the reason why YA is uniquely suited to presenting dystopias. Well worth a read :)
This concludes your Random Linkage, brought to you by the letter P for Procrastination. We return now to your regularly scheduled programming...
O:)
PS This new template seems to have a dislike for making links stand out. Those of you on feed readers will be fine; those of you reading on the blog, consider it like linkage hide-and-seek (ftw!) until I wrangle the template.
